Have you heard the story of the man who threw his computer out the window? … The neighbours called the police to report the man for disturbing the peace. Upon arrival, they heard what happened and did not serve him with any charges. “Who hasn’t felt like doing that?” explained the police officer. “We understand his frustration” commented the spokesperson for the police later on. At SoftSlang, we understand this frustration and we intend to do something about it.
The problem with computers today is that there is too much technology involved in its usage. To perform the simplest tasks on a computer you need to understand terms like HTML, HTTP, PDF, format, upload, server, database and many others. The volume of features present in softwareis overwhelming for the average user. Most people only use 30% of features available in Microsoft Word, not because they don’t require the other 70% but rather because they can’t remember which dialog or menu the required check box is buried under.
SoftSlang builds software tools which will enable a mere novice to master a computer like a guru guided by intuition rather than laborious training.
